One thing that I think makes Portland special, is that we are totally not afraid of foods we have never heard of. I have no idea what boquerones are!

Obviously, in places like New York, there is a vibrant food culture, but for its size, I think Portland is really one of the most adventurous cities when it comes to eating. You can find menus like this all over the place, even at little food carts.
