Why I can’t watch Lost (for now, at least)

popculture-and-i:

Short version: I’m a scaredy cat and Lost with its constant BANG GOTCHA TERRIFYING SURPRISE moments scares the living daylights out of me. Also if I watch too much at a time (I am excitable like that) I get really bad nightmares where I start believing it’s all a big Lost conspiracy and the neighbour is a psychic who can predict my death or weird things like that.

It’s just not good for me. But yeah, I was always creeped out while reading my Nancy Drew* books, so you know, it doesn’t take much.

*In Sweden she’s actually called Kitty Drew. Pretty cute!

But wait a second, you’re a Potter Head. It’s not any scarier than in Potter. And there isn’t a big conspiracy that feels at all realistic. It’s a soap opera.

My question to you is… have you seen the pilot? If the answer is no, then please watch that. Just dedicate 2 hours. If you’re not hooked after the pilot, then I’d like you to give it 3 episodes. Just 3 more, that’s all. If at that point, it’s a nay, you’re off the hook. ;)
