Bad news: The Internet is over. We will move increasingly towards narrowly focused personal “feeds” and services delivered on phones. In a way, this is actually good news, because we will have more actually social, local experiences. We’re just shifting into a new era of TCP/IP that is less about “The Internet” and more about “put the stuff I want into my hand”. In the process of that shift, I think we’re going to lose some of the unique culture that we built over the past couple decades.
