It’s funny, but lately I’ve been noticing that I don’t really know how to describe the types of works I’m creating these days… and I guess ultimately the field I’m even working in.
I mean, the bigger things I’m creating feel like TV shows, and their creation process is similar to making a film… and yet I can only really describe it as “content” since it doesn’t totally behave like film or TV, and seems related to the other smaller stuff I create (blogs, Lost Subway Maps, etc.)
And yet I guess it feels strange calling it something so general as “content”… but feels equally strange dubbing it “webseries” or “digital series” or “internet media” or even “new media”… like it isn’t quite media or a series.
And isn’t being a “Content Creator” pretty much the same as being a “Thing Maker”? Or a “Stuff Builder”?
I guess I’m a thing maker? I’m right now working on this thing. A few things actually.
